For the iPhone and Mac
We are porting our most popular software into the
iPhone. The mobile computing platform is
allowing eye care professionals to offer more
precise care. A Mac version will follow later.

iRx (in development)
iRx will combine the abilities of X-Cyl and ImageRx
into one application with additional calculations
involving vertex distance changes for lens design
and a feature to help isolate paretic muscles from
the Parks - Bielschowsky 3-way head tilt test for
hyperdeviated eyes. This application will be
available through iTunes.
For the PC
X-CYL
Toric Crossed-Cylinder Calculator
X-Cyl is a utility that assists in tough contact
lens fitting challenges. Toric contact lenses
can correct for astigmatism. Sometimes however
unexpected results occur during this fitting
process. Unexpected residual refractive errors
(overrefractions) can occur than what is clinically
predicted from traditional contact lens fitting
technique. When this occurs your eye doctor
has to perform a very difficult mathematical
calculation to correct for this issue. The
mathematical calculation is difficult and can easily
result in an error. X-Cyl does the math for
the physician. The program even can correct for
unwanted contact lens rotation in mathematical
calculations.
Updated in 2009 to run on 64 bit operating
systems, offer more tips for users and run by itself
without an additional runtime DLL file.

ImageRx

Aniseikonic Lens Design Calculator
ImageRx
is a wonderful utility that greatly eases the design
of Aniseikonic lenses. Some prescriptions
create unwanted magnification difficulties between
the two eyes. The brain can not efficiently
combine two unequal sized images on the retina.
ImageRx allows doctors to manipulate many variables
to tweak lens parameters to either minimize the
image size difference. Without this software,
doctors would have to use nomograms (charts) or
manually manipulate a complex equation to solve for
each variable. Our program performs the
difficult mathematic calculations to allow
optometric physicians to more creatively design
tough eyewear prescriptions.

ImageRX and X-Cyl are very small programs with
efficient code to calculate mentally tough
equations. The programs can be installed
anywhere on your PC. Double clicking on the
program opens it so there really is not installation
required. You may wish to create a
shortcut to place the programs on your desktop.
